The challenge
Smart Little Writers sells an online essay-writing program for kids in Grades 4 to 6, in a very competitive space. The old Squarespace site ranked fairly well on Google, but it wasn’t selling.
The site gave away too much free content. Parents found helpful tips, then left without looking at the program.
What we did
We rebuilt the site on a fast, modern platform with a brighter, kid-friendly look designed to turn visiting parents into students. The sales pages now focus on the program, and the free articles and tips moved to their own Resources section, out of the main menu.
We targeted the searches parents actually type, like “writing help for kids”, “essay writing help” and “academic essay writing help for kids”, and built a large library of helpful articles. Every page answers parents’ questions clearly, so AI assistants like ChatGPT can understand the program and recommend it.
The results
Smart Little Writers now ranks on the first page of Google for all its target keywords: sometimes first, sometimes third or fifth.
Even better, AI search recommends it. The site now gets more traffic from ChatGPT than from search engines, which has grown the brand and its authority.
